Jack
Pappas commenced
employment as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Australian Capital Territory in 1979. For
a time Jack was the managing partner of a large Territory based law firm
before commencing practice on his own account as pappas,
j – attorney.
In 1996 Jack founded Empire Chambers which now houses 17 members of the
independent bar practising across the legal
spectrum.
Over more than 20 years continuous work as an advocate Jack has developed a
wide-based practice in:
- Criminal Law;
- Copyright;
- Medical negligence;
- Appeals;
- Taxation;
- Commercial disputes;
- Contract;
- Defamation;
- Building Law.
Jack is a qualified
Advocacy instructor who has taught with the Australian Advocacy Institute.
He is admitted to practice in the Australian Capital
Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Victoria & Western Australia and has appeared in
numerous reported cases.
